Year 6 cowrie shell jewellery

Year 6 pupils have recently started to read their engaging new book, 'The White Horse of Zennor' by Michael Morpurgo. The book is a series of short stories centred around Cornwall and its history. To help immerse the children in the first of the stories, 'The Giant's Necklace', they set to work making their own cowrie shell bracelets and necklaces, items which feature prominently in the tale. It was a great way to bring the story 'alive' for the children and an opportunity they thoroughly enjoyed!
