Year 5 Bollywood dancing

Year 5 took part in a very colourful and energetic WOW this week as they participated in a Bollywood Dance workshop. All the children began by getting dressed in Indian costumes. The workshop began with a warm up exercise learning techniques such as screw the light bulb, cut the corn and Bollywood style DAB.

Children then learnt a series of Bollywood dance moves over a two hour session. For one part of each performance the children had to choreograph their own moves to the music. Each class performed their whole dance to each other and to the other Year 5 classes. All children and staff had a thoroughly enjoyable day and we are all able to now strut our funky stuff Bollywood style!
