Year 4 steel pan drumming

As a part of their Caribbean topic, Year 4 were lucky enough to have the opportunity to learn how to play the steel pan drums along with representatives from the Revellers Steel Band group today. They learnt and performed a rhythm that turned out to be the chorus for a Justin Bieber song!They were also treated to a performance by a steel pan drum musician who entertained them with a variety of music styles from reggae to pop! The children thoroughly enjoyed the day and were able to get a true flavour of Caribbean carnival music and culture.
