Year 3 at BeWILDerwood

Saturday 1st July-Sunday 2nd July 2017

Year 3 had an amazing adventure this past weekend when they made the journey down to sunny Norfolk for their exciting overnight stay in the forests of BeWILDerwood!

We jumped in the minibuses early on Saturday morning and headed to Great Yarmouth first, where we had lots of fun on the beach, building sandcastles and paddling in the sea (we even found time for playing on bouncy castles and eating ice-cream!). We then made the short trip to Pizza Hut where we filled up on lunch, before driving the short journey to BeWILDerwood.

Upon arrival, we hopped on the boat to take us down the Dismal Dyke and onto the Scaaaary Lake where we bumped into Mildred the Crocodile (who was a vegetarian so it was quite safe!). We then meandered through the forest to find the yurts we'd be sleeping in for the night and unpacked all our gear.

Over the next few hours, we took part in lots of fun activities, including den-building; a treasure hunt; lantern making; face-painting; story telling and singing round the camp-fire! (This was in addition to being able to use the plethora of amazing equipment on site....zip wires, mazes, tree top trails, swings, giant slides and loads more!). At about 10pm, we bedded down for the night in our comfy yurts, snuggled up in our sleeping bags!

Early the next morning, BeWILDerwood laid on a tasty breakfast before letting us have one last play in the park, before we made the long journey home back to Luton (everyone was so tired though, there was lots of sleeping on the buses!).

Everyone had a wonderful time and 100% enjoyed the whole experience!
