Year 3 WOW - Verulamium Museum
Tuesday 15th January 2019
Year 3 had a super start to the new term with their WOW visit to the Verulamium Museum in St Albans.
The children had ‘hands-on’ experiences, learning how the Romans lived, what they ate and explored the utensils used to cook their finest foods!
We toured the museum looking at artefacts, immersed ourselves into the recreated Roman living quarters and were amazed by the huge ancient treasures together with the finest mosaics that were proudly presented on walls and floors.
All the children were engaged, showed all of the Chantry values. I was overwhelmed by the positive comments the children received from staff at the museum: Well-mannered children who demonstrated respect to the general public and engaged themselves naturally in the activities set out for them. Well done Year 3!
