Nursery WOW - Leighton Buzzard Train Trip
Wednesday 26th February 2020
The Nursery children started off this terms topic on Transport with a wow trip on a double decker coach which travelled to Leighton Buzzard Railway. The children were very excited and were looking forward to the trip. On arrival to the railway station, we were met by the station master who led us to the diesel train. We boarded the train that had three carriages and a sign on the front especially for Chantry! The children enjoyed a trip on the train and they saw the guards use their flags to stop traffic as we crossed over a road. The engine then needed to be swapped from the front of the train to the back in order for us to travel back safely to Page's Park Station.
Some of the children had a look in the train shed where there were lots of different trains and then we went back to the coach to have a drink and biscuit. We then returned to school. The children behaved impeccably and were a credit to the school. Thank you to all of the parents who supported us on the trip, without you the children would never have had this great experience.
