Years 3 & 4 - Boys Football Festival

Tuesday 6th March 2018

12 of Chantry’s young aspiring footballers headed to Play football for the year 3&4 boys’ football festival. With over 30 teams taking part there was a busy schedule ahead for our two teams. The Chantry Maroons made an amazing start with a 3-0 win over Beech Hill, before suffering narrow defeats to Bramingham and Ferrars. They then showed great resilience and perseverance to improve and ended the festival with a 1-1 draw against Icknield and a 3-0 win over Farley.

The Chantry Blacks showed great unity and determination to go through the entire festival unbeaten. Playing high tempo and high quality football, winning 6-1 (Warden Hill), 5-1 (Whitefield), 5-0 (Foxdell), 7-0 (Downside) and 5-1 (Bramingham).

Both teams performed to a very high standard and should be extremely proud of their efforts, showing that Chantry has a bright footballing future ahead.
