Year 5 Ancient Egyptian WOW

This term Year 5’s topic is Ancient Egypt and our topic book is “There’s a Pharaoh in our bath!”.

We had a fantastic art day . We began by making Ancient Egyptian bookmarks, writing our names in Hieroglyphs. The Egyptians used a picture to represent each letter of the alphabet. Next, we created a desert scene – using silhouette images of camels and palm trees. Finally we used modelling clay and constructed pyramids, scarab beetles and basets (Egyptian cat).
