Year 3 - Aboriginal WOW

Last Thursday , Year 3 kicked off their learning on Australia with a fantastic dance workshop. Lorraine from the Multicultural Dance and Music Workshops spent the morning teaching the children how Aboriginal dancers moved and performed. The children stayed fully engaged and embraced the different culture and music respectfully.

Our book this half term is “Bunda`s Dreamings” which is a book full of Australian cultural stories. During the workshop Lorraine told the children about the “Dreamings” and their meaning. The dancing was then linked to the book.
