Year 2 WOW - Chinese Day

Wow what a great day we had on Wednesday. It was our Chinese day and all the children were able to experience some Chinese traditions.  The day linked with our book “The Willow Pattern Story”  All day the children took part in different activities including making dragon masks, making lucky red money envelopes and learning how to write Chinese symbols. During the week the children learnt all about China and were really interested in the famous Terracotta Warriors so we also made our own clay army. To finish the day the children were also able to try some yummy Chinese food and they even had a fortune cookie to take home!
