Whitefield vs. Chantry Primary Academy football match

Our eagerly anticipated first game of what could be a very exciting season sadly ended in defeat after a valiant 2^nd half fightback from the team.

A small pitch made it very hard to create space and we found ourselves in a tight midfield battle. Unfortunately luck was not in our favour and Whitefield scored 4 high quality goals, starting an uphill challenge to bring ourselves back into the game. We showed great determination to get a goal back before half time, and then displayed strong resilience to score another 2 goals without reply. We then created some good chances and twice hit the crossbar. Unfortunately we could not find the equalising goal and the game ended 4-3, however we have many positives to take onto our next game.
