Sportshall Athletics Year 5/6

Yesterday a group of our Year 5 & 6 pupils went to a Sportshall Athletics competition up at Inspire in Stopsley, here they competed against the best schools from the West and North of Luton in a qualifier to reach the town finals. Sportshall Athletics consists of a mix of running, throwing and jumping events to test the pupils in every way and puts them up against the best school in the area. After some very hard fought races, some big jumps and long throws Chantry managed to finished an amazing second in the region behind Pirton Hill and a long way clear of third placed Bushmead. This means we as a school will progress to the town finals to test ourselves alongside the best in Luton. A great achievement from all involved and hopefully it will continue in to the finals!
