Reception WOW visit to Willows Farm

Reception children enjoyed a trip to Willows Farm in London Colney as a wow on their topic of ‘Growing’. The children were very excited to travel on the coaches to the farm to see the different animals. When we arrived we had a safety talk and then the three classes were split up to tour around the farm with a guide.

 The children saw many animals including pigs with their piglets, sheep with their lambs, chickens, turkey’s, goats and horses to name a few. They also had the opportunity to give some guinea pigs a cuddle and feed the animals too.

 They went on a tractor ride, saw a show with Peter Rabbit and had lots of fun on the slides and climbing equipment in the indoor area too!

 The children will have the opportunity to write about their trip and draw pictures of what they saw.

 We would like to thank the parent volunteers who came with us, as the trip would not have been possible without them!
