Reception WOW Willows Farm visit

Today the Reception children visited Willows Activity Farm as a wow to introduce the topic on Growing for this term. The day started with a trip on a coach where we had 62 very excited children and 18 adults! On arrival we dropped off our packed lunches then went to our first activity. The children were split into three class groups and the activities included a very bumpy ride on a tractor ride, a show where we could join in with the singing and dancing, feed some of the farm animals and the children even had the opportunity to handle some guinea pigs! We saw lots of baby animals including lambs, piglets and kid goats and lots of chickens, turkey's, cows and horses to name a few.

The children had lunch together in one of the barns and had a photograph opportunity with Peter Rabbit. To finish off the day they had great fun in the indoor area playing on the slides and scramble nets.

The children and adults had a great day and learnt lots about the different animals. After an exciting day we headed back to school on the coaches where quite a few children fell asleep.
