Nursery WOW factor / Autumn summary

We have had a busy start to this half term. We have been learning our new talk for writing story 'The Little Red Hen' after which we made and tasted bread as our wow factor for this unit.

We have also been having fun learning a little bit about Halloween and carving out pumpkins together whilst playing with the spiders and tweezers. We've learnt about remembrance day and have been busy making poppies to plant on our school field. This half term we have a jewellery shop role play and some of us have already shopped 'til we dropped. The messy play tray is a very popular part of our continuous provision, as is the water tray. This week we are washing and hanging up socks in the water tray as this relates to our phoneme of the week - s.
