Foodbank drop off
Monday 9th October 2017
After our amazing donations on Friday, our House Captains and Vice-House Captains had the responsibility of dropping the food off today to the Foodbank warehouse. With our minibus loaded up, we all made the journey into the town centre and met Dave (the warehouse manager) and Salma who helped us to unload the vast amount of items! The children were then treated to a tour of the warehouse to see how it all works, what happens to all the food donations, how food parcels are made up and the different types of food parcels there are. After their interesting tour, the pupils then had the opportunity to make up their own food parcels that would be sent out to children their own age. It was a fascinating experience for everyone and allowed us all to see what happens to the important food items once they've been donated.
Well done boys and girls; a great job!
