Enabling Enterprise visit

Today, a quartet of Year 4/5 pupils headed to Watford to the European headquarters of the Hilton Hotel chain. The children were taking part in an 'Enabling Enterprise Challenge Day', whereby they learnt how different departments in the HQ work and the different jobs people can have. They met lots of the employees who work there, including the Human Resources (HR) staff, security staff and the finance team. These staff had control of all the European operation so were super important people!

Once children had familiarised themselves with  the different departments, they then had to prepare a presentation to persuade the HR Managers (some more important people!) which potential candidates to employ- it was all very professional! The children did a great job of giving the presentation and very clearly explained which individual they thought was best for different jobs within the Hilton chain.  

It was a great day for the children and really gave them a valuable insight into the world of work and how a company operates...good work everyone!
