Carnival time!

Sunday 27th May 2018

Music, dancing, bright colours, amazing costumes and FUN were on the agenda today as we once again took part in the annual Luton Carnival. This year, as well as working alongside Luton Town FC, we also coupled up with our friends from Whitefield, becoming the terrific trio!

We had to meet at 9:30am at school to prepare our costumes and accessories, before boarding the coach down to Wardown Park. Once there, we got ourselves ready, put some face paint on and began practising our routine.

Then, not long after, we took our position in the parade (right near the front!) and waited for the parade to begin. Once it did, everyone moved, danced and bopped their way round the route, dancing to the energetic music blasting from the speakers (which were conveniently placed in the Luton Town car that was leading us round!). About halfway round, we reached the judging point, where we got to show off our routine- which went brilliantly.

We then concluded the carnival, walking back to the point we started from (with a VERY tired, but still smiling group of children!). It was a brilliant day all round, and it was especially lovely to see Whitefield and Chantry working together with such unity and friendship...great work everyone!
