Captain Tom 100
Monday 3rd May 2021
Children across the school loved taking part in the 'Captain Tom 100' challenge this past week, whereby they completed activities linked to the number 100, in memory of the remarkable Captain Tom who died earlier this year. Tom was an inspiration to the nation during lockdown, when his fundraising efforts raised more than £30 million for the NHS. Children up and down the country enjoyed completing their 100 challenges, and here at Chantry, we had such things as running 100 laps of the Ten-a-Day track; writing stories with just 100 words; finding ways to make the number 100; bouncing a ball 100 times and even making towers with 100 blocks in them! It was a lovely day, enjoyed by all, and in memory of such an amazing human being.
