Big Bang Science Fair
Saturday 17th March 2018
A scientifically minded group of Year 6 pupils headed to the NEC Arena in Birmingham today to marvel at the fantastic things on offer at the Big Bang Science Fair! The annual event is aimed at 9-16 year olds to really enthuse and excite them about science (and maths and technology too) and show them what exciting job prospects could be on offer for them as they get older.
The children had a marvellous time and loved the displays, workshops, shows and how interactive the whole event was. Some highlights included the VR rollercoaster, the crime scene investigation, Gastronaut live show, inflatable planetarium and the giant moving eye exhibit! It was a really exciting opportunity for the children, who absorbed everything around them and saw how STEM (science/technology/engineering/maths) is used in everyday life and how truly interesting and engaging it can be.
